Having been back home from tour now for a couple of days, things have finally settled down enough for me to sit and post again. It’s been the typical round of paying outstanding bills, tidying up and generally getting organised. It’s amazing how untidy your house can get when it’s empty!!
I got back on Monday evening and spent the rest of the night going through mail of one sort or another. Firstly, there was a large pile of it on the doormat, which included one thing I’ve been looking forward to for a while. Secondly, as I was unable to get online for the few days I was in Austria, I had a good deal of email to catch up on!
The long-awaited item that came through the post was the result of the Brian Lynch/Eddie Palmieri Artistshare project. The final CD not only sounds great but is a beautiful package too. I caught a glimpse of it when I went to see Brian and Eddie play in London recently but it’s great to have it in my hands. I’ll post a fuller review shortly.
A quick thankyou goes out to Stuart McDonald over at Woodwind Exchange in Bradford. Following my woes with the damage to my trumpet, I took it over to get the repair job inspected and get a couple of other things looked at. Following a little TLC, it’s now looking and playing better than ever. Thanks Stuart!
